Keep Close — Privacy Policy

Keep Close is a private space for sharing monthly favorites with people you choose. It is available as an iPhone app and on the web. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

Account info: your email address, name, and optional profile details (handle, bio, avatar).
Your content: the letters, favorites, photos, replies, and reactions you post.
Push tokens: if you enable notifications, a device token so we can deliver them.
Reports you file: if you report a letter or reply, we record who reported it, what was reported, the reason you selected, and any details you write. This is sent to the app operator so it can be reviewed.
Preferences: your color theme and which notifications you want.

We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How it is used

Your letters are visible only to friends you have accepted. There is no public feed. An individual letter becomes viewable by link only if you deliberately share that link.
Your email is used for sign-in and, at most once a month, a reminder to post. You can turn that off from your profile.
Notifications are sent only for the categories you have switched on in your profile.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Services we rely on

Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
Vercel — hosting.
OneSignal — push notification delivery.
Resend — email delivery.
Apple — App Store distribution and push notification transport.

Retention

Your content is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Reports are kept while they are reviewed and for a reasonable period afterward so repeat problems can be recognized.

Your choices

Edit or delete your letters, block other users, report content, and turn any notification off at any time.
Delete your account from inside the app — your profile has a Delete account option. This permanently removes your letters, photos, favorites, reactions, replies, and friendships.

Children

Keep Close is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
